18 Hole City League plays on Thursdays.
2026 Thursday Mens Club 18 Hole League
June 18, 2026
On a slightly breezy but very nice day for golf there were only 5 players at par or under. There is one more week for the 1st half playoffs then we reset for the 2nd half. Your individual scores still matter so please continue to write them down.
Team 1st half Playoffs:
In the first match the team of Walsh-Johnson took the win over Przybyla-Murray with the score 27 to 21. In the 2nd match the team of Howard-Nelson get the win because of a forfeit from Jergenson-Muralt not being able to golf.
This means that Walsh-Johnson will play Howard-Nelson for 1st place and Przybyla-Murray will play Jergenson-Muralt for 3rd.
We encourage playoff teams to play against there opponents if possible. Scoring continues in the same format so every stroke can matter.
Individual:
Paul Tokar, Kevin Howard and Brett Nelson all had net 68’s and Dan Arvidson had a net 70.
In the Individual Standings:
1- Tom Muralt 680 pts
2- Eric Przybyła 664.5
3- Pat Murray 663
4- Kevin Howard 643.5
5- Ron Johnson 642.5
Format:
The Thursday 18-hole league consists of a two-man team game with A and B players and a season long individual points race. There is 1 point available per hole and 6 bonus points available for front 9, back 9 and Total. A players net score goes against the opposing players net score each hole. The team game will be split into two halves with a playoff at the end of each half to determine the winners. The first half winner plays the second half winner to determine the team champs and get bragging rights. The season long individual points race will count players best 10 finishes of the year.
On the team results sheet a players handicap is listed next to their flight, A or B. Below their handicap is the team game handicap that is based off the low mans handicap between the player and their opponent in their respective flight, A vs A and B vs B. Team net scores and points are based on the team game handicap. This is the same way handicaps are determined in match play events. The A and B players are determined by handicap from the GREEN tees and does not change if a player plays from YELLOW. Please email or call with questions.
If a sub is being used the sub should announce to the shop who they are subbing or the player or sub must email or call prior to the round. If a sub is not announced one will be randomly drawn.
An existing league player cannot play as a sub for another team.
Subs cannot be used during the playoffs. If a player cannot play during a playoff week the partner that can will play against both members of the opposing team.
Please make sure to write your scores down on the score sheet in the entry to the club house. Make sure to highlight and mark down if you are playing from the yellow tees. Everything defaults to green so I need to know if you are playing from the yellows. If you have a sub make sure they write their name down and scratch out the person they are subbing for. If we find a sub we will take care of that. The schedule and teams has been updated. I look forward to another good year. Play well gentlemen.
Remember that the Anoka Men's Club handicap committee does audit scores each week so be sure to post your score on the day you play. If you do not post your score, the committee will be sending a reminder.
